The average cost of attending a private college in 1969-70 ranged from $1,200 to
$1,850.
The Housing Office's check-cashing service cashed 3,481 checks totaling $52,217.43
for students during the fall term; and none were returned for insufficient funds.
Rifle Team Record
. Charles Fogelstrom '70 set a new team record with his 289 out of a
possible 300 in a match against Syracuse University in January. Later, the team set a new
school record, defeating Niagara University by a score of 1,373 to 1,299. To set this record, all
the team members had to fire scores over 270 out of a possible 300. They ended the season as
the undefeated state champions.
