Senior Week.
Senior Week events were considerably different than those at the end of the
century. The Fifteenth Annual Commencement began on Sunday, May 31, 1914.

Trustees, speaker, guests, alumni, and faculty for academic procession to Chapel Hall

Director Robert Fletcher of the Thayer School, Dartmouth College: "When Does A Man
Become An Engineer?"
After the exercises, the first alumni dinner was held in the new gym.
New Alumni Tradition.
On Thursday, June 4, 1914, a new tradition began: the Alumni
Dinner. Immediately following the Commencement exercises at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, all
graduates of the College were invited to the dinner in the gymnasium. Representatives were
present from the classes of 1902, 1903, 1906, 1909, 1910, 1912, 1913, and 1914. After the
dinner, Mr. Robert Burrows '06 of Buchanan, Mich.; Dr. Thompson of Potsdam State Normal
School; Mr. Rufus Sisson of Potsdam; and Dr. Fletcher of Hanover, N.H., gave appropriate
addresses.
Ray Wiswell '07 from Fonda, N.Y., made the following interesting suggestion after the
1915 banquet in New York City:
The only suggestion I want to offer for the banquet, however, is that as long as we go to the Big City for
it, that with the number of fellows living around there they should see that a few of us northerners were given a
